Canterbury is easily reachable by rail and bus. Trains from London St. Pancras International take approximately 55 minutes to arrive at Canterbury West, and the journey from London Victoria, Charing Cross, or Waterloo East takes between 80 and 90 minutes. You can also travel using the regular National Express bus service from London Victoria to Canterbury bus station.

Canterbury bus services run from the city centre and both train stations to the university campus regularly, at a journey time of between 15 to 20 minutes. In the daytime there are buses every 10 minutes from Canterbury bus station to campus: either the Unibus or the number 4 service.

Taxis are also available from the front of both train stations, to the Templeman Library (five minute walk to the Kennedy Building, where the Festival takes place).

Full directions to the University of Kent can be found here, and a map of the campus can be downloaded here: Canterbury Campus Map and Guide. Note that Eurostar is currently running from London St. Pancras International, not Ashford or Ebbsfleet.

All MEMS Festival panel events will take place in Kennedy Building (post code CT2 7FS). Registration will be in the foyer outside Kennedy Seminar Room 1 (KENSR1). The conference sessions will be in KENSR1, KENSR3, KENSR4 and KENSR5. All rooms are on the ground floor. Some workshops will take place in Canterbury city centre or other locations on campus.
